Update Software
If your Garmin watch keeps restarting, ensure that you have applied all the latest updates on your Garmin watch.
Because the old version can be the reason for restarting the Garmin watch, updating the latest version on your Garmin watch will stop it from restarting.
Updating the Garmin watch is easy; you can update it easily with your Garmin Express/ Garmin Connect.

Update with Garmin Connect App
Using the Garmin Connect app, you can update your Garmin watch automatically and manually.
It is an Android/ Apple application that you can download easily from the Playstore/ Apple app store.
To update the Garmin watch, first, you should connect your watch with the Garmin Connect app.
When you sync your data with the Garmin Connect app, you can easily update it to the latest version.
Automatically update
The automatically update feature is enabled by default. But if you are not sure it is enabled or disabled and want to check, follow these steps:
1. Go to “Settings.”
2. Tap “Start/Stop.”
3. Tap “System.”
4. Tap the “Software Update” button; it will be at the bottom of the menu
5. Switch it “ON/OFF.”
Manually Update
If you want to update your Garmin watch manually, make sure you have disabled the automatic update on your Connect app.
When you disable the automatic update, you can update it manually by following a few steps:
- Go to the “Settings”
- Touch on “Start/Stop”
- Tap on “System”

Update with Garmin Express
Garmin Connect app is only for phones, and you can update the software wirelessly by using this app on your Andriod/ Apple phone.
But the other option to update it is the Garmin Express. You can update by using the USB wire with your computer.
Garmin Express is an app that you can install on your Windows/ Mac. And use a USB cable to connect the Garmin watch with the Window/ Mac. Follow the steps below to update your Garmin watch with the Garmin Express.
- Download the Garmin Express on your device; if you have already installed make sure that you have installed it from here.
- Connect the device with the USB cable
- Create an account/ Login with your Garmin Express
- Follow the instruction from the screen to connect your device.

Button Devices
